Harokdim.org is committed to making its website accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. Although we are not legally required to do so (due to our small annual turnover), we continually work to improve accessibility.

Technical Specifications

1. The site is best experienced on up-to-date browsers such as Chrome or Edge.
2. Pages are built with HTML5, CSS and PHP, and are designed to work with standard assistive technologies.
3. The site supports keyboard navigation: use Tab to move between elements, Enter to activate, and Shift+Tab to go back.
4. Font sizes can be increased using Ctrl + and decreased using Ctrl - in desktop browsers.
5. All images include descriptive alt text.
6. The site contains links and possibly content areas in frames loaded from third-party sites. Their accessibility, however, depends on the hosting site.

Display & Mobile

1. The site is fully responsive and adapts to any screen size — desktop, tablet, or smartphone.
2. On mobile devices, a dedicated mobile interface is available automatically, optimised for touch navigation.
3. Fonts used are sans-serif, chosen for clarity and readability.
4. Colour contrast meets readability standards throughout the site.
5. The site layout is consistent and predictable across all pages.
6. If you wish to make further changes to text sizes and colours, you can do so through your browser settings. These changes will affect all websites you view with that browser. Note that some sites may not respond to these changes if they are not accessible.

Known Limitations

Some older content pages may not yet meet full accessibility standards. We are working to update these progressively. Please note that Harokdim.org is a long-established site with extensive content, and it is possible that not all content has been addressed yet. Some content may also be meaningful only to those familiar with Israeli folk dancing.
